Longest Fight in RS History: Ancient Fury Break Reign of Terror

 

A week ago we told our members about Operation Overlord, a plan about breaking Reign of Terror. On Thursday the 21st of November we set up a Single Spells fight with Rev that started around 11:00 Pm GMT, with the express purpose of luring RoT out. Eventually the clan world found out and came to crash so we turned around on the Anti-AF and sent them packing, starting the longest (geared) fight in Runescape history.

 

Ancient Fury Starting:

 

35 In-game, 30,000 Sets.

 

Reign of Terror Starting:

 

45 on Ts, not enough Sets.

 

Despite RoT's 'kings of outlasting shtick' they have lost the 4 longest P2P fights they've participated in (17 Hours vs Kill Orgy, 2 New years 1 item fights, 1 item fight vs EoS) so we knew they would break eventually. What we didn't expect was for it to be so... easy. After starting with 35 people we gained to 50 at 3:00 Am GMT and maintained over 40 throughout the entire night. For what was 'prime Est' RoT were never on top and were desperate for us to end only hours in once they realised what was happening. 

 

After they had been suciding for 10 hours a system update happened and RoT assumed we would use that as an excuse to end, they were sorely mistaken. With us logging in their hopes of winning early faded and they ran straight to GDZ where they proclaimed "This is where the real fight begins".  What they didn't realise was all our GMT/GMT+1s were just now waking up. For the next 5 hours it was an absolute slaughter, with RoT constantly down to only 2 in-game and having less on Teamspeak than SV did at the same time.. 

 

RoT had basically lost the fight already at this point, with us keeping our mandatory Rune Kite/Nezzy minimum risk, RoT were down to Addy, Diary Gear, and 1-Iteming, effectively admitting they couldn't fight properly anymore. This carried on from about 10:00 AM GMT all the way till 6:00 PM when they had gained to about 10-15 in-game and felt they could bring gear.

 

This then started the whole cycle over again just South-West of GDZ, with us obviously on top. The day previous when they couldn't handle it they ran in-side GDZ but this time they bailed West to East tree away from their 'home' and where the fight never was. They then proceeded to take Fake endings and re-grouped for ~20 minutes despite '105 on Ts' (but 42 in-game).

 

We managed to make them finally come back to us by taking FI's. A brief scuffle north of GDZ occurred but they were quickly sent packing and hightailed it towards New-gate (again where the fight never was). After 27 hours it was clear RoT was broken as they spent 30 minutes standing at New-gate praying we would log out. Once it was clear we were never ending they were forced to come back to the fight and suicide in-side GDZ.

 

At 3:00 Am Saturday, 28 hours into the fight RoT broke. Degearing into Moonclan and then full on 1 Item & 4-Item not skulling, announcing they could no longer fight. We slaughtered them for 2 more hours after that to hit the big Three Oh hoping they'd gain more and get in gear but sadly they could not. 30 hours in and no RoT in gear we stood victorious knowing they were broken and that it was our entire plan from the start.

The entire clan world watched you break and we all know what happened the last time you were broken..

 

Can't outlast, no intel, being leaked constantly... it's starting to feel a lot like Christmas August 30th, 2011.......
